Newspapers dropping AP

According to an Editor and Publisher story the Tribune Company, which owns newspapers like the LA Times and the Chicago Tribune, Have given the Associated Press its required two year notice to cut their ties. Just another casualty to the flailing newspaper industry. Apparently they are not the first paper to do so and probably will not be the last.

  1. More than economics, it may very well be political, as AP has not been shy about showing their cards in support of the GOP with their content.
