Image Fulgurator Pranks Tourist Photos

Another great PDN news story.

Read the article and watch the video. Here is someone creating photos and not just taking them. Or someone who just has way too much time on their hands.

Matin Parr Wins PhotoEspana.

Congrats to Martin Parr on his win at the PhotoEspana international photo festival in Spain. Claude Busac, the director of the festival was quoted that Parr, "had left a mark and influenced future generations of photographers."

"His eccentric and satirical eye, along with his film and book projects, make him one of the most accomplished photographers of the second half of the twentieth century," Bussac added.

Sam Abell and Richard Prince

Iowa Floods

Being an Iowa native, I still have family in the Iowa and midwest. All are well and far from the floods, but I have received links to quite a few photos from the floods. Most are local newspaper shots but they do convey the situation that many are in right now. I was really amazed to see how many people are smiling in the images.

Here are some photos from the Press Citizen in Iowa City.

My neighbor Ralph is retired and gets the New York Times. Anything he finds that might interest one of us neighbors he clips out and puts it on our door. Today this was on my door. Thanks Ralph.

No really.

For those of you who had thought everything in the world had already been photographed. Apparently this is the first time this tribe on the border of Peru and Brazil has ever been photographed.
