Someone took more than a photograph

Last Friday night, February 4th, there was a kick ass art show in Los Angeles, called These Friends. Hundreds of people showed up to see great work and to socialize with their friends. Everyone had a great time until one person did something really stupid. This show was hosted by the collective known as ThisLosAngeles.

As the gallery was closing and was being cleaned up, someone came in and asked to use the restroom. Being the nice folks that they, they let this young man use the facilities.

On his way out, he grabbed this one of a kind Polaroid photograph of Dennis Hopper, that was made by the artist/actor Jason Lee.

As of this writing, this photograph has yet to be recovered. Jason Lee has even put up a $25,000 reward for it. Still no word.

If the photograph is not recovered, there is a very real chance that this amazing gallery space will have to close, permanently.  So not only did someone steal the photograph, but they will have stolen great public art space from the people of LA.

If you know anything about who might have the photograph or where it might be, please contact Jeremy Weiss at 323-747-5301 or this@thislosangeles.com

There's also more info at http://thislosangeles.com/blog/

Please pass this info along to everyone you know.
